Everyone here should be aware of the following advertisments on YouTube smearing John Breaux. He has not yet annouced, but the Louisiana Republicans are already prepared to bombard Louisiana citizens with falsehoods and distortions.
Here are the You Tube videos:
This is full of falsehoods. Has anyone ever heard of the Breaux Act, an act that secures millions of dollars every year for coastal restoration and wetland protection projects? And what of David Vitter’s citation of Breaux’s healthcare plan in his proposal to transform the Charity Hospital system of LSU? I can go on and on.
This is just vacuous. And since when is Jindal, who took money from DeLay, Abramoff and former Rep. now lobbyist Livingston?
Jindal used these quotes in 2003, and he still lost to Blanco.
Republican Party of Louisiana video on television:
By the way, Jindal moved from Baton Rouge to Kenner in order to run for Vitter’s former House seat, LA-01. Jindal is the carpetbagger, not John Breaux.
I hope this helps. And let us use the comments to invalidate these claims and to perform opposition research on Piyush “Bobby” Jindal.
Video #2 is eerily similar stylistically to this “official” John Breaux for Governor message:

is Jindal leading Breaux by THIRTY Points!?

If this poll has any credibility, maybe we should just admit that a Democrat has no chance of winning this race and save our resources for Kentucky.

Now the following are mentioned as potentional candidates:
John Georges (R-New Orleans) – announced
Walter Boasso (R-Arabi) – announced
Foster Campbell (D-Bossier City) – announced
Mitch Landrieu (D-New Orleans) – considering
Richard Ieyoub (D-Baton Rouge) – considering
John Breaux (D-Crowley) – considering
Charlie Melancon (D-Napoleonville) – considering
Raymond Brown (D-New Orleans) – announced
Piyush “Bobby” Jindal (R-Kenner) – announced
Lee Horn (L-Franklin) – announced
Boasso is on the air already, and the Louisiana Republican Party, unified behind Jindal, is airing ads against Breaux. Boasso is throwing a fit about the party’s endorsement of a candidate before the primary, and he may splinter the Republican vote, especially as Jindal supporters are mocking him and his campaign. He and John Georges both promise to spend at least $2million of their own money to compete in this race.
The next few weeks should be very interesting.
why is this southern media and opinion strategy poll only reported on a radio station’s website? where is the data?
To all of you who wonder how we can support Jindal – how many of you have ever sat down with him and asked him about the issues that are important to you? I’ll wager not a single one of you.
You say that Louisianians who support him are uneducated – yet he and his supporters are the most educated people in the state. If you remember, it was the (demographically speaking) less educated urban populations and Northern rural populations that voted in Blanco. Jindal enjoys support from almost every business and educational center in the stated.
Fianlly, try not to make this such a divisive issue. Jindal and Breaux are not as dissimilar as many opposing candidates in races around the country. There are mosre than a few poeple in this state (such as I) who will not be disappointed to see either man in the Governor’s mansion.

If the AG, Charles Foti, a Democrat, says he qualifies as a citizen, then Breaux is in. Breaux also says the negative ads have incited him to run.
